A Phase I Study of Pelabresib (CPI-0610), a Small-Molecule Inhibitor of BET Proteins, in Patients with Relapsed or Refractory Lymphoma.

Purpose: NF-κB, a transcription factor essential for inflammatory responses, is constitutively activated in many lymphomas. In preclinical studies, pelabresib (CPI-0610), an investigational (BET) bromodomain inhibitor, downregulated NF-κB signaling and demonstrated antitumor activity . Here we report the safety, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and preliminary clinical activity from the first-in-human phase I study of pelabresib in patients with relapsed/refractory lymphomas (NCT01949883).

Background: OX40 (CD134) plays a role in the maintenance of late T-cell proliferation and survival. KHK4083 is a monoclonal antibody directed against OX40. We aimed to assess the safety and preliminary efficacy of KHK4083 in patients with moderately active ulcerative colitis (UC).

[The immune status in different clinical forms of insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus].

Immune status with reference to the disease duration and genetic factors (HLA-typing) was studied in various clinical variants of insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. The disease duration appeared the key factor in development of immune deficiency in insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. Critical immunological values were established (CD5+ cells--1200 in 1 microliter, CD4+ cells--35%, expression of CD5 and antigens HLA class II--110 and 75%, respectively) for septic complications which are highly probable in lower indices.

[Hyperbaric oxygenation and antianginal preparations: the effect of a single combined use on the functional indices of the state of the heart in patients with angina pectoris].

Using electrocardiographic technique, the effect of a single hyperbaric oxygenation session (O2 pressure 1.5 atm, duration 40 min) in combination with antianginal drugs (nifedipine--20 mg, propranolol--40 mg, nitrong--6.5 mg, orally) on central hemodynamics and myocardial contractility has been studied in 35 patients with ischemic heart disease and angina pectoris of effort, NYHA functional class II-III.

[Interaction of hyperbaric oxygenation with nifedipine and propranolol at the level of autonomic regulation of the heart in patients with angina pectoris].

Thirty three males suffering from coronary heart disease, Functional Classes II-III exercise-induced angina pectoris were examined for changes occurred in autonomic cardiac regulatory parameters under the influence of a normobaric oxygenation session (control), a hyperbaric oxygenation session (oxygen pressure 1.5 atm, duration 40 min), and combined normo- and hyperbaric oxygenation with nifedipine (oral corinfar, 20 mg, n = 18), and propranolol (oral inderal, 40 mg, n = 15) sessions. Variation of pulse and statistical analysis of cardiac rhythm were used in the study.

[Effect of hyperbaric oxygenation on central hemodynamics and oxygenating function of the lungs in open-heart surgery].

The dynamics of some oxygenating pulmonary function (OPF) indices has been studied in 33 patients with coronary cardiac disease and rheumatic lesions of cardiac valves 4-6 hours after surgery in response to a single hyperbaric oxygenation (HBO) session (1.5 ata, 45 min) in the immediate postoperative period. It is found that in the presence of slight or, on the contrary, pronounced arterial hypoxemia, no significant negative OPF changes were observed.

[HLA antigens in diffuse toxic goiter].

The paper is concerned with some data of investigation of the association of the HLA-system with the development of diffuse toxic goiter (DTG). An attempt was made to predict clinical variants of a course of DTG using HLA-antigens. Comparative analysis of the distribution of HLA-antigens was performed in 50 patients with various degrees of DTG severity, different therapeutic methods (operative and conservative) and outcomes of disease (postoperative hypothyrosis, DTG recurrence and euthyroid condition).

[The relationship of endocrine ophthalmopathy to the thyroid status and to the indices of an autoimmune lesion of the thyroid].

The paper is devoted to a study of the pathogenetic relationship of endocrine ophthalmopathy with thyroid diseases. Altogether 76 patients with endocrine ophthalmopathy combined with various thyroid lesions (diffuse toxic goiter, Hashimoto's disease, primary hypothyrosis) and without thyroid diseases were investigated. The serum level of thyroid hormones, the content of Ig A, M, G, thyroglobulin and the presence of antithyroid antibodies were analyzed.

[The role of Coxsackie viruses in the pathogenesis of diffuse toxic goiter].

Altogether 15 untreated patients aged 16 to 55 with diffuse toxic goiter had morphologically confirmed diagnosis of the presence of antibodies to Coxsackie virus (group B); titers of group A (1:128 and more) were revealed in 3 of them. It indicated recent (not more than 2 yrs.) Coxsackie virus infection.

[Association of antigens of the HLA system and Hashimoto's thyroiditis].

A total of 18 patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis aged 20 to 57 were examined (16 females and 2 males). The control group included 267 healthy donors. Antigens of A, B, C and D loci of the HLA system were determined in all the patients.
