Background: Psoriasis is a common autoimmune disease of unknown etiology. Recently, much attention has been paid to evidence that a local hypercoagulable state is an important contributing factor to the development of inflammatory skin diseases. Advanced forms of systemic connective tissue disease such as lupus erythematosus, especially with concomitant vasculitis, leading to renal failure and uremia may be conducive to calcyphylaxis. Mastocytosis may be limited to the skin or involve internal organs, especially those playing the lymphoreticular function. We present a case of 9-year-old girl, with a history of maculopapules at the age of two, followed by yellow-brownish, nodular skin lesions.
