Urachal cysts (UCs) are secondary to incomplete obliteration of the embryonic urachal duct and may become symptomatic when infected. Treatment is primarily surgical to excise the infected cyst. Surgical approaches include a lower midline laparotomy or minimally invasive (MI) techniques.
