Importance: In 2022, the US House of Representatives passed a bipartisan resolution (House of Representatives Resolution 1118 at the 117th Congress [2021-2022]) calling for meaningful nutrition education for medical trainees. This was prompted by increasing health care spending attributed to the growing prevalence of nutrition-related diseases and the substantial federal funding via Medicare that supports graduate medical education. In March 2023, medical education professional organizations agreed to identify nutrition competencies for medical education.

Methods: For each patient, the rectum was outlined from anorectal junction to sigmoid colon, and rectal dose was parametrized using dose-volume (DVH), dose-surface (DSH) and dose-line (DLH) histograms. Generation of DLHs differed from previous studies in that the rectal dose was parametrized without first unwrapping onto 2-dimensional dose-surface maps.
Objectives: Hearing impairment is a significant burden in the developing world. However, no suitable quality of life (QoL) measures exist for use in Nepal. We aimed to amend and translate the Glasgow Health Status Inventory (GHSI), assessing QoL at any given time, and the Glasgow Benefit Inventory (GBI), assessing change in QoL following intervention, into Nepali and to assess the impact of ear disease and effect of surgery on QoL.
