Background: The Pneumonia Severity Index (PSI) and CRB-65 are scores used to predict mortality in patients with community-acquired pneumonia (CAP). Poorly symptomatic, it raises an important differential diagnosis with benign and malignant tumors of the subscapular region, and with a differential diagnosis with shoulder pain and snapping scapula. It is seen in elderly women and occurs more frequently in the subscapular region, although it has been reported in several locations.
