Introduction. Salmonella spp. is a zoonotic pathogen transmitted to humans through contaminated water or food.

Little is known about the genetic diversity of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi (S. Typhi) circulating in Latin America. Objective: This study was aimed at describing the dissemination of KPC-3 enzyme-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae in clinical isolates from hospitals in Bogotá.

Materials And Methods: Eighty-two CRKP isolates collected from 10 hospitals in Bogotá from 2008-2010 were analysed; disk diffusion and microdilution were used for phenotypic detection of enzymes and PCR for genotyping.

[Listeria monocytogenes in food handlers: a new approach to address the dangers in food industry].
