- - The study investigated how tuberculosis (TB) coinfection affects the death rate of COVID-19 patients in Indonesia, a country where TB is common.
- - Out of 1,034 COVID-19 patients, 86 also had TB, and those with TB showed different clinical characteristics and a lower death rate compared to those without TB.
- - The results indicated that TB coinfection may actually reduce the risk of in-hospital mortality in COVID-19 patients, with a significantly lower adjusted hazard ratio for death.
