Background: The association of COVID-19 with venous thromboembolism is of particular interest as there are reports that have associated thrombotic events with the pandemic. COVID-19 may predispose to venous thromboembolism. There is initial evidence suggesting that individuals with COVID-19 may be more prone to developing venous thromboembolism (VTE).
