Polymorphic eruption of pregnancy.

Polymorphic eruption of pregnancy (PEP), a specific dermatosis of pregnancy also known as pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy (PUPPP), is a benign, self-limited skin disorder. Key features include an increased prevalence in primigravidas, onset in the third trimester, remission near the time of delivery, and association with multiple gestation pregnancy. The clinical features are crucial to diagnosis.

Acne isolated within a Becker nevus of a 14 year-old girl.

Becker nevus (BN) is a common benign condition occurring most often in young men, much more often than in women. Acne isolated within a BN is a rare phenomenon hypothesized to occur, at least in part, due to increased androgen sensitivity within the nevus. We present a rare case of papular acne with in a BN of a 14 year-old girl.

SOSORT 2012 consensus paper: reducing x-ray exposure in pediatric patients with scoliosis.

This 2012 Consensus paper reviews the literature on side effects of x-ray exposure in the pediatric population as it relates to scoliosis evaluation and treatment. Alternative methods of spinal assessment and imaging are reviewed, and strategies for reducing the number of radiographs are developed. Using the Delphi technique, SOSORT members developed consensus statements that describe how often radiographs should be taken in each of the pediatric and adolescent sub-populations.

Cutaneous Rosai-Dorfman disease: a case report.

A 40-year-old female presented with a 2-year history of asymptomatic nodules on her lower extremity. Symptoms began with a small dark spot on the right thigh, which progressively enlarged. She then developed similar nodules on her right leg and a lesion on her left buttock.
