Disordered eating behaviours and eating disorders in adults with type 1 diabetes (DEBBI): rational and design of an observational longitudinal online study.

Introduction: Disordered eating behaviours (DEB) and eating disorders (ED) are among the most common mental health comorbidities of type 1 diabetes. However, research on diabetes-specific risk and protective factors is limited. To this end, comprehensive characterisations of DEB and ED in type 1 diabetes, as well as longitudinal research on the course of DEB and ED, are needed to gain more insight.
