Primary angiomyolipomas of the ovary which are not associated with genetical systemic diseases, particularly tuberous sclerosis, are extremely rare and are more likely to pose diagnostic challenges. This tumor, particularly of epithelioid variant, is more likely to be malignant and can carry a high possibility of metastasizing. Use of immunohistochemistry consisting of melanocytic biomarkers (HMB45 and Melan A) helps to ascertain their presence.

Disseminated peritoneal leiomyomatosis as an incidental finding: A case report.

We present the case of a 23-year-old female with multiple diffuse and nodular masses of different sizes involving predominantly the posterior wall of the uterus, omentum, and peritoneum which were histopathologically confirmed to be disseminated peritoneal leiomyomatosis. Meticulous investigation and accurate diagnosis are of utmost importance for the establishment of the correct diagnosis. The metapleural gland is exclusive to ants, and unusual among exocrine glands in having no mechanism for closure and retention of secretion. As yet, no clear conclusion has been reached as to the function of metapleural gland secretion. Metapleural gland secretions were investigated for fungus-growing ants representing the derived attines Trachymyrmex fuscus, Atta laevigata, and Acromyrmex coronatus, the basal attines Apterostigma pilosum and Mycetarotes parallelus, and non-fungus-growing ants of the tribes Ectatommini (Ectatomma brunneum) and Myrmicini (Pogonomyrmex naegeli).

Protocols were developed for the generation of haploid or doubled haploid plants from developing microspores and ovules of Gentiana triflora.
