Magnitude of kangaroo mother care practice and its associated factors in Tigray region, northern Ethiopia, 2019: cross-sectional study design.

Introduction: kangaroo mother care is an evidence based approach care of preterm and low birth weight infants carried skin-to-skin with the parents that can decrease morbidity and mortality of infant. Country level adoption and practice of kangaroo mother care has been limited and global coverage remains low and few studies have examined the reasons for low practice. The aim of this study was to assess the magnitude of kangaroo mother care practice and its associated factors in Tigray, northern Ethiopia, 2019.

Uncontrolled asthma in Ethiopia: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Introduction: Despite significant improvement in the diagnosis and management of this disorder, asthma in the majority of Ethiopians remains poorly controlled. Although the prevalence of uncontrolled asthma is a public health problem in Ethiopia, its reported prevalence varies from study to study. Hence, this review aims to determine the true prevalence of uncontrolled asthma among asthmatic patients in Ethiopia.

Background: Undernutrition is a global health problem, particularly in pregnant women. Despite the limited studies performed in different parts of Ethiopia, the information about the prevalence of undernutrition of pregnant women in the current study area is not documented. Therefore, this study aimed to assess the prevalence of undernutrition and associated factors in pregnant women.

The outcome of COVID-19 among the geriatric age group in African countries: protocol for a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the outbreak of coronavirus disease in 2019 (COVID-19) has been declared as a pandemic and public health emergency that infected more than 5 million people worldwide at the time of writing this protocol. Strong evidence for the outcome of COVID-19 among the geriatric age group has not been published in Africa. Therefore, this protocol will be served as a guideline to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis of the outcome of COVID-19 among the geriatric age group in Africa.

Determinants of hypertension among diabetic patients in Public Hospitals of the Central Zone, Tigray, Ethiopia 2018: unmatched case-control study.

Introduction: Hypertension, among diabetic patients, is a worldwide public-health challenge and a leading modifiable risk factor for other cardiovascular diseases. The main purpose of this study was to identify determinants of hypertension among diabetic patients.

Methods: Data were collected from January to March 2018 using an interviewer-administered structured questionnaire.

Risk factors of birth asphyxia among newborns in public hospitals of Central Zone, Tigray, Ethiopia 2018.

Objective: The aim of study was to identify risk factors of birth asphyxia among newborns in public hospitals of Central Zone Tigray, Ethiopia 2018.

Results: A total of 88 cases and 176 controls were included in the study. Thirty (34.
