Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) is a severe vascular proliferative disease. The appearance of signs of intrauterine infection in the setting of ROP may aggravate the severity of the disease course and lead to development of complications. Two children with residual ROP effects were observe to have delayed manifestations of intrauterine infection.

Objective: To characterize the possibilities of early diagnosis of congenital neuroinfections during an ophthalmological examination in children in the first months of life.
Material And Methods: Five children with congenital neuroinfection, including 2 children with congenital toxoplasmosis and 3 children with congenital cytomegalovirus infection (CMVI), were studied. All babies were born prematurely (25 to 31 weeks of gestation (27.
High prevalence of arterial hypertension and low rate of blood pressure (BP) control in patients with arterial hypertension require more intensive approaches to antihypertensive therapy. Every patient with arterial hypertension is characterized by different predominant pathophysiologic mechanisms in different periods of his life. Because of impact on different pathophysiologic mechanisms combined antihypertensive therapy allows to achieve more pronounced BP reduction, decrease heterogeneity of response and alleviate side effects of each component.

New hydrophilic polymer sorbents comprising reactionary sites which are complementary to a molecule of antibiotic erythromycin were synthesized by the method of molecular imprinting. A series of similar sorbents without reactionary sites was used for comparison of sorption characteristics. Sorption of erythromycin on both types of polymer sorbents synthesized was studied in a wide range of pH and ionic strength.

Study of sorption of lysine within wide pH range and ionic strength indicated significant dissimilarities in amino acid sorption by tuned sorbents, which were expressed as an increase in the contribution of nonionic interaction, and resulted in a decrease in the ionic strength effect on the sorption capacity, as well as an increase in amino acid sorption selectivity.

The maximum sorption capacity for the antibiotic exceeded twofold that observed in experiments with a macroporous sulfocation exchanger MN-500. The sorption of the antibiotic was completely reversible upon treatment with a combined eluant that competitively interacts with the sorbent and does not impair the structural characteristics of erythromycin.

The influence of pH on the equilibrium, kinetics and dynamics of sorption of anthracycline antibiotics (rubomycin, doxorubicin and carminomycin) on the carboxylic sorbents has been studied.

The incidence and causes of gastroenterological diseases in the population of Udmurtia are analyzed. Factors of risk of such diseases were defined and the "portraits" of patients with gastric and hepatic diseases designed. The quality of medical care rendered to the said patient population was assessed.

Sorption properties of new carboxyl cation exchangers containing components of salicylic acid (CST and CMTS) and benzoic acid (CBT and CMTB) were examined with respect to large organic ions. Such cation exchangers were shown to have greater permeability for high molecular weight proteins that sorbents of the Biocarb type. Bacteriostatic properties of the above cation exchangers were studied.
