Currently, there are quite a few data on the ways silver nanoparticles get into the aquatic environment, on their subsequent dissolution in water, and on the release of toxic Ag ions. Differences in the experimental conditions hinder the determination of the basic regularities of this process. In this study, the stages of oxidative dissolution of AgNPs were studied, starting from the formation of silver hydrosol in deaerated solution, the reaction of silver with oxygen and with drinking and natural waters, the analysis of intermediate species of the oxidized colloidal particles, and the subsequent particle aggregation and precipitation, by optical spectroscopy, DLS, TEM, STEM, and EDX.

The influence of environmental factors, such as lack of water and uneven rainfall, depletion of nutrients in the soil and reduced soil fertility, planting patterns and plant density, uneven growth stages, are the main limiting factors that hinder the growth of agricultural production in arid regions. The aim of the study was to assess the potential of Sentinel-2 to quantify soil conditions, which can improve the understanding of spatiotemporal dynamics in organic agriculture in the steppe zone of Kazakhstan and improve productivity management of Linum usitatissimum. In the course of the research, the influence of individual factors of the general environmental impact, such as the influence of humidity, meteorological conditions, the content of individual nutrient components of the soil on the yield, was studied.

For the first time, an electrochemical mechanism of oxidative dissolution of silver nanoparticles in aqueous solutions is suggested and substantiated. The dissolution is caused by the occurrence of two interrelated electrochemical processes: (1) silver oxidation on a microanode and (2) oxygen reduction on a microcathode. According to the suggested model, the standard electrode potential of a nanoparticle decreases with a decrease in its size, which leads to an increase in the electromotive force of the oxidative dissolution of silver.

Objective: To determine the prognostic aspects of the development of pneumonia in patients with ischemic stroke of various pathogenetic subtypes.

Material And Methods: The study enrolled 110 patients (64 men and 46 women), aged 44-95 years, with dysphagia during the acute period of ischemic stroke (IS). The TOAST criteria were used to diagnose the pathogenetic subtype, and the MASA scale was used to determine the presence and severity of dysphagia.

The article describes a rare diagnosis of monomorphic epitheliotropic intestinal T-cell lymphoma (MEITL), due to its veiled by a number of so-called "masks" of enteropathies. A detailed analysis of all clinical, morphological and immunohistochemical data made it possible to establish the correct diagnosis. The revealed pathology is extremely rare in practice, even among specialists in hematology.

In this work, we propose a new method for determining the concentration of silver atoms in hydrosols of nanoparticles (NPs) stabilized with various capping agents. The proposed method is based on the determination of IBT absorption in the UV region (a broad band with a weakly pronounced shoulder at ~250 nm). To determine the extinction coefficient at 250 nm, we synthesized silver nanoparticles with average sizes of 5, 10, and 25 nm, respectively.

Background: Cardiac AL amyloidosis as a complication of multiple myeloma (MM) is a formidable life-threatening condition. The first-line therapy for both MM and systemic AL amyloidosis is proteasome inhibitors (PIs). Unfortunately, the use of PIs may lead to cardiovascular toxicity development, which requires specific cardio-oncology supervision.

Aim: assessment of risk factors, cardiovascular status and intracardiac hemodynamics in patients with multiple myeloma before the start of specific antitumor therapy. Materials and methods: The study included 2 equal groups of patients: the first group - 25 patients with a newly diagnosed diagnosis of multiple myeloma (MM), the comparison group - 25 patients with proven cardiovascular diseases (CVD) (hypertension (HD) and coronary heart disease (CHD)). All patients included in the study underwent standard laboratory diagnostics, instrumental research methods (ECG, Echo-KG, 24-hour Holter monitoring); proven CVD risk factors were also evaluated.

The great attention paid to silver nanoparticles is largely related to their antibacterial and antiviral effects and their possible use as efficient biocidal agents. Silver nanoparticles are being widely introduced into various areas of life, including industry, medicine, and agriculture. This leads to their spreading and entering the environment, which generates the potential risk of toxic effect on humans and other biological organisms.

The electron density of a nanoparticle is a very important characteristic of the properties of a material. This paper describes the formation of silver nanoparticles (NPs) and the variation in the electronic state of an NP's surface upon the reduction in Ag ions with oxalate ions, induced by UV irradiation. The calculations were based on optical spectrophotometry data.

Aim      To study changes in markers for myocardial direct injury and dysfunction and endothelial dysfunction (ED) indexes in patients with indolent lymphoma during the antitumor treatment.Material and methods  Current antitumor therapy for lymphoma is often associated with cardio- and vasculotoxicity, studying of which is a relevant scientific direction. Markers for myocardial direct injury and dysfunction and ED indexes were studied in patients with indolent lymphomas receiving polychemotherapy (PCT).

Materials with a positive temperature coefficient have many applications, including overcharge and over-temperature protection in lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries. The thermoresistive properties of an electrically conductive polymer, based on a Ni(salen)-type backbone, known as polyNiMeOSalen, were evaluated by means of in situ resistivity measurements. It was found that the polymer was conductive at temperatures below 220 °C; however, the polymer increased in resistivity by three orders of magnitude upon reaching 250 °C.

Understanding mechanisms of chemotherapy cardiotoxicity is an important problem due to the lack of clear understanding of its occurrence. Development of endothelial dysfunction is considered to be one of possible ways in implementation of these side effects. The analysis of endothelin-1 and e-selectin levels in 26  patients with lymphoproliferative diseases before and after the completion of the treatment program was been performed.
