Background: Bladder health encompasses total bladder well-being and not merely the absence of urinary symptoms. While much is known about the prevalence of urinary symptoms in women, little is known about the distribution of bladder health (eg, optimal to poor).
Objective: We report the distributions of multiple dimensions of bladder health and function in a population-based sample of community-dwelling women, overall and separately in women without urinary symptoms to begin to explore bladder health dimensions that may precede the onset of symptoms.

Materials And Methods: We analyzed baseline data collected from May 2022 to December 2023 in the RISE FOR HEALTH study-a large, regionally representative cohort study of adult female community members. LUTS and related bother were measured by the 10-item Symptoms of Lower Urinary Tract Dysfunction Research Network Symptom Index, and discussion was assessed by a study-specific item.

Importance: A greater understanding of the relationship between toileting behaviors and lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) has the potential to generate awareness and improvement of overall bladder health in specific populations.
Objective: The aim of the study was to investigate the prevalence and correlation between maladaptive toileting behaviors and LUTS among female medical trainees and attending physicians.
Study Design: We surveyed female medical students, residents, fellows, and attending physicians at an academic hospital, capturing demographics, voiding behaviors, LUTS, and fluid intake using the Bristol Female Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms Short Form, the Toileting Behavior-Women's Elimination Behaviors, and the Beverage Intake Questionnaire.
Background: Studies have shown up to a 40% discordance between patients' preferred roles in decision-making before and their perceived roles after their visit. This can negatively affect patients' experiences; interventions to minimize this discordance may significantly improve patient satisfaction.
Objective: We aimed to determine whether physicians' awareness of patients' preferred involvement in decision-making before their initial urogynecology visit affects patients' perceived level of involvement after their visit.
Introduction: The prevalence of healthy bladder storage and emptying function in community-dwelling women is not well established.
Methods: A planned secondary analysis of a US cross-sectional study designed to validate a bladder health instrument was conducted in women aged ≥18 years. A subset was invited to complete the novel 2-day bladder health diary capturing bladder storage and emptying experiences.
Introduction And Hypothesis: Data from a large US population-based, cross-sectional, epidemiological study (the EpiNP Study) were used to assess the symptoms and bother experienced by women with nocturnal polyuria (NP).
Methods: Consenting participants recruited from an online panel completed the baseline EpiNP survey online (Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms Tool and urological comorbidities). All reporting ≥2 voids/night and a random sample of 100 respondents, each reporting 0 or 1 void/night were asked to complete a 3-day web-based bladder diary recording time, volume, and urgency rating of each void.
Objectives: To explore the impact of nocturnal polyuria (NP) on health-related quality of life (HRQoL), work productivity, mental health, fatigue, bother, and daytime sleepiness.
Materials And Methods: This large-scale, US population-representative epidemiologic study was conducted in two parts: a web-based survey and 3-day bladder diary. Methods And Results: A subset of RISE participants who express interest in the in-person assessment will be screened to ensure eligibility (planned n = 525). Eligible consenting participants are asked to complete 15 physical assessments in addition to height and weight, to assess pelvic floor muscle function, musculoskeletal (MSK) status, and pain, and to provide urogenital microbiome samples.
Introduction And Hypothesis: Representatives of two classes of oral medication are often used to treat urgency urinary incontinence (UUI): solifenacin, an M3-receptor-selective antimuscarinic, and mirabegron, a beta-3 agonist. Two previous asynchronous drug-specific studies suggested different interactions between these medications and the urobiome despite identical methodologies, including recruitment, sample procurement, medication dose escalation strategy, determination of 12-week responders versus nonresponders, and data collection. This analysis compares data from these two studies using a uniform analytic approach.

Introduction And Hypothesis: The objective was to determine whether standardized, intraoperative urethral measurement improves retropubic mid-urethral sling (RPMUS) positioning and if the intraoperative position remains stable at 2 weeks postoperatively.
Methods: Participants undergoing a RPMUS were randomized to mid-urethral placement as per usual surgical care (no Foley catheter measurement, no-FCM) vs urethral mid-point Foley catheter measurement (FCM). The primary outcomes were RPMUS location as determined by 2D and 3D ultrasound 2 weeks postoperatively (as percentage from urethral meatus - relative to the urethral length) and intraoperatively following the RPMUS placement.

Methods: This prospective cohort study enrolled women presenting for their initial urogynecology visit. Before and after the visit, patients completed the Control Preference Scale (CPS), which categorizes the role that patients want to have in medical decision-making: active, collaborative, or passive.
Background: The prevalence of nocturnal polyuria (NP), which is passing large volumes of urine during the main sleep period, has been investigated primarily in middle-aged to older men. There is thus a gap in the NP evidence base for women and for younger individuals.

Objectives: We aimed to investigate the effect of music listening on preoperative anxiety compared with usual care in patients undergoing pelvic reconstructive surgery.
Methods: Patients scheduled for pelvic reconstructive surgery were enrolled on the day of surgery. Participants were randomized to either the usual care (control group) or to music listening on headphones (music group) before their surgery.
Purpose: We compared urinary tract infection (UTI) symptom resolution rates at 7-10 days in symptomatic women randomized to treatment based on standard urine culture (SUC) versus expanded quantitative urine culture (EQUC) results.
Materials And Methods: Women ≥18 years old who responded "yes" to "do you feel you have a UTI?" agreed to urethral catheterization and followup. Symptoms were assessed using the validated UTI Symptom Assessment (UTISA) questionnaire.
