This brief report expands the results of a prior efficacy study that examined the effect of a letter addressing prospective clients' motivation and expectations for outpatient gambling disorder treatment on initial session attendance. The results of that efficacy study indicated more clients attended the initial session when receiving the letter (77%) compared to receiving a reminder telephone call (51%). The present study examines the effectiveness of messages addressing prospective clients' motivation and expectations for outpatient gambling treatment across an entire treatment system.

Importance: Although school-based gardening programs for children have consistently been shown to improve dietary behaviors, no cluster randomized clinical trial (RCT) has evaluated the effects of a school-based gardening intervention on metabolic outcomes.

Design, Setting, And Participants: This study was a secondary analysis of a cluster RCT, conducted over 3 years from 2016 to 2019, at low-income elementary schools with majority Hispanic students in the greater Austin, Texas, area.
Background: We report the creation and evaluation of a de novo assembly of the genome of the spontaneously hypertensive rat, the most widely used model of human cardiovascular disease.
Methods: The genome is assembled from long read sequencing (PacBio HiFi and continuous long read data [CLR]) and scaffolded with long-range structural information obtained from Bionano optical maps and proximity ligation sequencing proximity analysis of the genome. The genome assembly was polished with Illumina short reads.

Surface phenomena during atomic layer etching (ALE) of SiO were studied during sequential half-cycles of plasma-assisted fluorocarbon (CF) film deposition and Ar plasma activation of the CF film using in situ surface infrared spectroscopy and ellipsometry. Infrared spectra of the surface after the CF deposition half-cycle from a CF/Ar plasma show that an atomically thin mixing layer is formed between the deposited CF layer and the underlying SiO film. Etching during the Ar plasma cycle is activated by Ar bombardment of the CF layer, which results in the simultaneous removal of surface CF and the underlying SiO film.
