We present O-T advancement reconstruction (OTAR) in lateral tongue defects, describing technique, indications, outcomes, and limitations. 11 patients with lateral tongue defects who underwent OTAR after earlystage cancer removal. Background: To minimize adverse events of peripheral blood stem cell (PBSC) collection in healthy donors, it is reasonable to limit the total dose of granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) and/or the number of apheresis days without decreasing of PBSCs yield. Therefore, we have started to collect G-CSF induced PBSCs on day 4 instead of on day 5. So, we retrospectively aimed to investigate the results of this 4-day G-CSF administration.

We constructed two novel boron-dipyrromethene (BODIPY)-based fluorescent probes, BOPD and BOBA, each equipped with the phosgene specific recognition units -phenylenediamine (OPD) and -aminobenzylamine (OBA) at the 2-position of the BODIPY core. BOPD and BOBA represent rare examples of BODIPY-based probes that operate by modulating an intramolecular charge transfer process (ICT), as validated by computational studies. We systematically compared the analytic performance of those recognition units while focusing on selectivity, fluorescence turn-on ratios and response times.

To assess the value of conducting a preairway management review of flexible fiberoptic laryngoscopy examinations (FFL) by the anesthesia team for patients with head and neck cancer and to examine its impact on intubation strategies and overall patient safety. Prospective study at a single tertiary referral center including patients with stage T2 and greater cancers of the oropharynx, hypopharynx, or larynx who underwent intubation by the anesthesia team between May 2022 and April 2023. Pre- and postoperative surveys gathered data on the intubation plan, including details such as method, sedation, patient respiration, laryngoscope, tube size, and use of paralysis.
