Hondrosarcoma of the chest with intraabdominal distribution (case report).

A rare clinical observation of chondrosarcoma metastasis into the abdominal cavity with a specific metastatic ascitic fluid is presented. Chondrosarcomas that occur as a result of malignant transformation of benign chondroma are quite rare. Even less often in the literature, cases of chondrosarcoma metastases are described, especially in a peritoneum with the presence of metastatic ascites.

Cellular composition research of serous pleural effusion fluids. Conceptual issues of preanalytics.

The purpose of this work was to show the effectiveness of the cytological method on a small number of observations, excluding all possible errors of the preanalytical stage. The paper presents several simple and easily reproducible algorithms for the cytological study of serous pleural effusions with small cellular content. On the example of 20 observations of the study of the cellular composition of serous exudates, a direct dependence of the research results on the preanalytical stage is shown.

[Chemical nature of lachrymal products in the dolphin Tursiops truncatus].

Studies have been made on carbohydrate-protein complex (the ratio of carbohydrate to protein is equal to 1 : 2) in lachrymal products of the dolphin. It was shown that protein component includes 14 amino acids, in which diamino monocarboxylic acids amount to 58%. The ratio of the latter to monoamino dicarboxylic acids is equal to 4.
