Previous research has demonstrated that a combined magnetic field (CMF) plays a critical role in modifying the properties of aqueous solutions, leading to an increase in the luminol-enhanced chemiluminescence of neutrophils. Using this model, the distant interaction between aqueous solutions was demonstrated, and the role of a CMF in the regulation of this phenomenon was established. In the current study, highly diluted (HD) phorbol myristate acetate (PMA) solution (the donor) was incubated with aqueous ethanol (the acceptor), both in a CMF-generating device and under geomagnetic field (GMF), for 0, 20, and 60 min.

The issues of therapy and prevention of asthma in children do not lose their relevance. The increase in the prevalence of allergic diseases and asthma is associated, among other things, with a relative deficit in the microbial load and changes in the microbiota due to improved hygiene and living conditions. The microbiota plays an important role in the formation and functioning of the immune system.

Weak combined collinear magnetic fields (CMFs) composed of constant component, 60 μT and low-frequency alternating field, 100 nT, used in 40 min pretreatment, were shown to have diverse effects (alleviation/stimulation) depending on the frequency of the alternating component on respiratory burst intensity in neutrophil suspension after activation by N-formyl-Met-Leu-Phe recorded by luminol-dependent chemiluminescence. About 12.6 Hz frequency formally corresponding to ion cyclotron resonance (ICR) frequency of hydrated hydronium ion (НО ) had notable stimulating effect.

Extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis (XDR TB) has extremely poor treatment outcomes in adults. Limited data are available for children. We report on clinical manifestations, treatment, and outcomes for 37 children (<15 years of age) with bacteriologically confirmed XDR TB in 11 countries.
