Objective: The objective of this study was to develop and evaluate the feasibility and safety of a novel transaxial surgical approach for the delivery of human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived dopaminergic neuroprogenitor cells (DANPCs) into the putamen nucleus using nonhuman primates and surgical techniques and tools relevant to human clinical translation.
Methods: Nine immunosuppressed, unlesioned adult cynomolgus macaques (4 females, 5 males) received intraputaminal injections of vehicle or DANPCs (0.9 × 105 to 1.
Objective: Hypothyroidism has been proposed as a potential contributor to steatotic liver disease (SLD), but existing data shows conflicting results in euthyroid subjects. Therefore, we investigated the association between thyroid function and intrahepatic lipids (IHLs) during a 36-month randomized controlled trial evaluating a diet known to reduce liver fat.
Design: 502 eligible subjects (aged 50-80 years, ≥1 risk factor for unhealthy aging) were randomly assigned to either follow a diet rich in unsaturated fatty acids, plant protein, and fiber (intervention group, IG), or dietary recommendations of the German Nutrition Society (control group, CG).

Discrete water samples represent a snapshot of conditions at a particular moment in time and may not represent a true chemical exposure caused by changes in chemical input, tide, flow, and precipitation. Sampling technologies have been engineered to better estimate time-weighted concentrations. In this study, we consider the utility of three integrative sampling platforms: polar organic chemical integrative sampler (POCIS), silicone bands (SBs), and continuous, low-level aquatic monitoring (CLAM).
