Children's views on outdoor advertising of unhealthy food and beverages near schools.

Children are often exposed to unhealthy outdoor food advertisements during the school commute. This exposure can have negative public health consequences given childhood weight gain has been linked to the marketing of energy-dense and nutrient-poor foods. This study aimed to explore schoolchildren's lived experiences and attitudes towards outdoor advertising surrounding their schools.

Hemorrhage is a leading cause of preventable death in military and civilian trauma medicine. Fluid resuscitation is the primary treatment option, which can be difficult to manage when multiple patients are involved. Traditional vital signs needed to drive resuscitation therapy being unavailable without invasive catheter placement is a challenge.

State-to-state scattering of highly vibrationally excited NO with argon at collision energies over 1 eV.

We present state-to-state differential cross sections for rotationally inelastic collisions of vibrationally excited NO XΠ ( = 9) with Ar using a near-counterpropagating molecular beam geometry. These were obtained using the stimulated emission pumping technique coupled with velocity map imaging. Collision energies well over ∼1 eV were achieved and rotational excitations up to ∼Δ = 60 recorded for the first time for inelastic collisions.
