Glioblastoma is the most frequent and aggressive brain tumor in adults. This study aims to evaluate the expression and prognostic impact of CD99, a membrane glycoprotein involved in cellular migration and invasion. In a cohort of patients with glioblastoma treated with surgery, radiotherapy and temozolomide, we retrospectively analyzed tumor expression of CD99 by immunohistochemistry (IHC) and by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) for both the wild type (CD99wt) and the truncated (CD99sh) isoforms.

This study aimed to assess the inter-tumoral, intra-tumoral, and intra-lesional heterogeneity of known druggable targets in metastatic RCC (mRCC).
Methods: The RIVELATOR study was a monocenter retrospective analysis of biological samples from 25 cases of primary RCC and their paired pulmonary metastases.
Trichogerminoma, first described by Sau et al. in 1992, is a rare cutaneous adnexal neoplasm of the hair germ cell and usually associated with benign clinical course and favorable outcome. About 30 cases have been reported, all with similar histological features.

Diagnosis is defined by the presence of a serum monoclonal spike (M-spike) of more than 3 g/dL or more than 10% clonal plasma cells in the bone marrow and at least one myeloma-defining event, such as hypercalcemia, anemia, bone lesions, or renal impairment. The kidney is a major target organ, and renal impairment is frequently the first manifestation of the disease.
