Objective: To analyze the efficacy of the S-Detect AI system of the Samsung RS85 ultrasound scanner (South Korea) in stratifying thyroid nodules compared to data obtained by specialist of ultrasound diagnostics.
Material And Methods: In 2024, we analyzed ultrasound data of 80 patients with thyroid nodules who required fine-needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB). Patients underwent thyroid ultrasound with nodule assessment according to the EU TI-RADS classification (GE Voluson E8 scanner, USA).
Unlabelled: Chronic tonsillitis remains as an urgent problem in modern otorhinolaryngological practice, which requires improving the diagnostic methods of this pathology.
Objective: To increase the diagnostic information content of objective methods for differential diagnosis of different forms of chronic tonsillitis.
Material And Methods: The study involved 97 patients who were divided into two groups: the 1st group (39 patients) - with a simple form; the 2nd group (58 patients) - with a toxic-allergic form of chronic tonsillitis.
Cytostatic activity of baicalin, baicalein, and neogalenical drug Chlorophyllipt was studied in vitro on HeLa-v cells. Standard samples of Eucalimin, baicalin, and baicalein, as well as Chlorophyllipt and paclitaxel (reference drug Taxacad) were used. The cell deaths were determined by MTT assay in a Multiskan FC microplate reader with incubator.

However, significant differences in individual response to drug treatment require the search for new predictive markers. Here, by comprehensively examining HIF-1α, Snail, and PD-L1 expression in BC tumor tissue, we demonstrate that high levels of these markers correlate with unfavorable factors of BC prognosis: the presence of regional and distant metastases and lymphovascular and perineural invasion.

The disfunction or deficiency of the C1 esterase inhibitor (C1INH) is associated with hereditary or acquired angioedema (HAE/AAE), a rare life-threatening condition characterized by swelling in the skin, respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts. The current treatment options may carry the risks of either viral infection (plasma-derived Berinert) or immune reaction (human recombinant C1INH from rabbit milk, Ruconest). This study describes the physicochemical and biological characterization of a novel recombinant human C1 esterase inhibitor (rhC1INH) from Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells for the treatment of hereditary angioedema compared to the marketed products Berinert and Ruconest.
