[Prevalence and prognostic significance of major risk factors and some reproductive system changes in the development of atherosclerosis and ischemic heart disease in women of child-bearing age].

Aim: To conduct a long-term epidemiological trial to specify prevalence and significance of risk factors (RF) of atherosclerosis (AS) and IHD related and unrelated with reproductive system in fertile women.

Material And Methods: 962 premenopausal women entered the trial. They were examined for RF of IHD and AS as well as some conditions of the reproductive system induced by oral contraceptives, replacement hormonal therapy, postmorbid period of OPH-gestosis, uterine myoma, ovarian failure.

[Bischofite in the treatment of patients with osteoarthrosis deformans].

Bishofit baths and compresses on affected joints were added to combined treatment of 43 patients with dystrophic metabolic arthritis (DMA). Twenty control DMA subjects received. nonsteroid antiflammatory drugs without bishofit.

[Change in the immunoglobulin content in ischemic heart disease].

Tests for the immunoglobulin content in 224 patients with ischemic heart disease revealed dysimmunoglobulinemia in myocardial infarction. The mean values of M and G immunoglobulins were found to be increased in the acute, subacute, and post-infarction periods. A decrease in the content of immunoglobulin A was encountered only in the acute period.

[Postextrasystolic depression of sinus rhythm during electroimpulse therapy of auricular fibrillation].

In 95 patients treated by electroimpulse techniques for their cardiac fibrillation the incidence and diagnostic importance of postextrasystolic depression of the sinus rhythm were studied. Two groups of patients were singled out for a comparative study of the value of different prognostic criteria of the stability of the restored sinus rhythm: group 1--53 patients with unsatisfactory results of treatment (the sinus rhythm was preserved for not more than 1 month), and group 2--21 patients with good late results (the sinus rhythm persisted for over 6 months). A study of the distribution of the incidence of different prognostic signs in either of these groups showed that their prognostic value may be presented in the following succession: presence of intraventricular conductivity, severity of cardiac insufficiency, frequent postconversion extrasystoles, history of cardiac fibrillation of over 3 years, presence of a postextrasystolic depression of the sinus rhythm.
