Atrial fibrillation (AF), the most common arrhythmia, has been associated with different electrophysiological, molecular, and structural alterations in atrial cardiomyocytes. Therefore, more studies are required to elucidate the genetic and molecular basis of AF. Various genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have strongly associated different single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) with AF.

Activity of medullar and midbrain auditory neurons at action of amplitude-modulated tone burst was recorded in immobilized common frogs Rana temporaria. Depth of modulation amounted to 10% or 80%, frequency of modulation varied from 5 to 150 Hz, and carrier intensity was in the range of 20-30 dB. Phasic neurons in medulla clearly reproduced the modulation frequency, but only at the 80% modulation depth.

Expression of two conformationally dependent epitopes (cdes) designated as cdeD and cde106 of human alpha-fetoprotein (hAFP) was studied in hAFP of fetal and tumor origin. This was done by immunoaffinity electrochromatography on nitrocellulose membrane and by ELISA. Using anti-cdeD and anti-cde106 monoclonal antibodies (MoAbs), the relationship between the cde-positive and cde-negative hAFP fractions was evaluated in 75 samples with the above techniques.

Serum albumin fatty acid composition of patients with lung and mammary gland oncopathology was investigated by chromatography method. Differences in the contents of families 6 and 3 fatty acids were showed that depend on disease stage and tumour localization. omega 6/ omega 3 ratio increase in the early stages of tumour process was established for both pathologies.
