Assessing the level of matrix metal proteinases 1,8,9, their tissue inhibitor, type I, in cases of odontogenic phlegmons.

The article considers the measured values of the level of MMP-1, MMP-8 and MMP-9, and of their tissue inhibitor Type I (TIMP-1) in the blood serum and mixed saliva samples of 78 patients (31 women - 36.2 %, 47 men - 63.8 %) suffering from odontogenic phlegmons in the oral and maxillofacial region.

The complex evaluation was implemented concerning to quantitative and functional indices of immune-competent cells of peripheral blood, cytokine and immunoglobulin profile of blood serum with detection of confidence ranges of immunologic parameters of healthy children aged 3-11 years (n=98) residing in intensive immunotropic zone with the highest ecological risk. The multi-parametric flow cytofluorimeter COULTER EPICS XL (Beckman Coulter Inc.) with selection of of panels of monoclonal antibodies with multi-color combination of fluorichromуes was applied to analyze leukocytes, sub-population composition of lymphocites and processes of activation of cells of peripheral blood.

[Changes in biochemical inflammation markers in evaluation of the effectiveness of basic chemotherapy in bronchial asthma].

Aim: To analyse informative value of monitoring of NO metabolites concentration in condensate of expired air vapor (EAVC) for definition of bronchial asthma (BA) severity and antiinflammatory effect of basic therapy.

Material And Methods: NO metabolites concentration in EAVC was measured with Grace's reagent in 76 adults and 180 children in the course of basic therapy with flixotide, tailed, ketotiphen with intal.

Results: NO metabolites occurred in high concentrations in EAVC of both children and adults.
