Vocal disorders make up one of the autoimmune pathological conditions characterized by multiple organ system dysfunction. Laryngeal pathology in this condition has an autoimmune nature; it is highly diverse and poorly explored. The objective of the present work based on the analysis of the relevant literature publications was to study clinical manifestations of the autoimmune rheumatic disease affecting the larynx.

Endolaryngeal cold-plasma microsurgery for the treatment of benign neoplasms in the larynx used under conditions of high-frequency jet ventilation of the lungs is both a diagnostic tool and a method by which the extent of surgical intervention can be planned. It enables the surgeon to remain in direct contact with the operating field via the tip, to make tangential incisions and probing with a high degree of accuracy. Also, the method ensures bloodless and sterile intervention that induces a less pronounced inflammatory reaction compared with that associated with conventional surgical procedures for the removal of benign laryngeal neoplasms.
