The psychological educational programs make possible to increase level of awareness of depression in patients with depressive conditions and to enhance coping of patients with symptoms of disease. In scientific publications, the experience of application of both full-time group and individual and nonresident psychological educational programs is exposed The result of implementation of these programs consists in decreasing of expression depression symptoms, increasing of number of remissions, increasing of commitment to pharmaceutical treatment and decreasing of rate of refusals of treatment and increasing of rate of seeking of professional medical care in case of exacerbation of disease. The psychological educational programs ameliorate socialfunctioning, work capacity, quality of life and life satisfaction in patients.

ENT clinic of the Altai State Medical University has the experience with extranasal-endonasal use of a collagen plate Tachocomb in 150 patients with chronic sinusitis; 35 patients, of them 2 patients with osteoma of the frontal sinus, have undergone plastic reconstruction of the anterior walls of the frontal and maxillary sinus with the plate Tachocapital KA, Cyrillicomb. Follow-up of the patients demonstrated efficacy of this method, absence of complications and postoperative recurrences.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAim: To study dehydroepiandrosterone sulphate (DEA-S) in patients on chronic hemodialysis (HD) and its correlation with body mass and serum albumin.
Material And Methods: DEA-S and cortisol in the serum were measured at enzyme immunoassay (EIA) in 124 patients (56 males, 68 females, mean age 47+/-12 years) on chronic HD. HD was made for 4 hours, on the average, 3 times a week using bicarbonate solution for dialysis.
The immune system was studied in 161 patients with laryngeal cancer (T2N0M0, T3N0M0, T4N1M1). The correlation analysis of the three systems (immune, hormone and coagulation) in patients with laryngeal cancer has demonstrated that immune alterations are associated with those of the other two systems. The existence or absence of these interrelated changes of the above homeostatic systems was associated with a clinical course of the disease.
