Accumulating evidence suggests that cancer cells with stem cell-like features have higher resistance to chemotherapeutic agents. Herein, we identified T-lymphoma invasion and metastasis-inducing protein-1 (TIAM1) as one of the Wnt-signaling associated genes which drives self-renewal and its expression is upregulated by cancer associated fibroblasts (CAFs). TIAM1 expression was assessed in resected colorectal cancer (CRC) tissues from 300 patients who did or did not respond to chemotherapy.

Objective: The objective of this study was to determine whether puncturing the uterine wall and the amnion causes uterine contractions that result in fetal abnormalities.

Materials And Methods: An experimental study was performed using four groups of three female rabbits. Group A received a puncture of the amniotic membranes of one of the uteri on day 15 of gestation followed by group B on day 16, group C on day 17, and group D on day 18.

Background: The current treatment of keloids includes surgery, intralesional steroids, and radiotherapy, among others. Radiotherapy is not recommended in children due to its effects on growing tissues. Our aim was to study intralesional triamcinilone therapy of keloids in children and analyze the impact of body location, age of the lesion, and etiology of the keloid on clinical response.
