This article describes the development and pilot testing of Enhancing Dementia Instruction and Tool in Home Hospice Care (EDITH-HC).

Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic, recurrent inflammatory disease characterized by painful lesions such as nodules, abscesses, and sinus tracts, primarily affecting intertriginous areas. Recently, lasers and light-based treatments has gained attention as a non-systemic treatment for HS, targeting hair follicles to potentially alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life.

In the development of bioanalytical methods, stabilizing drug molecules in biological matrices is crucial for ensuring reliable exposure data in pharmacokinetic and toxicokinetic sample analyses. This study focuses on the evaluation of stabilizing effects on the synthetic triterpenoid TX101, a cyanoenone triterpenoid Nrf2 activator with known instability in plasma samples. The molecule's unsaturated double bond is susceptible to oxidation, either nonenzymatically via oxygen or enzymatically through cytochrome P450 enzyme-catalyzed epoxidation.

Development of LC-MS/MS method for cyanoenone triterpenoid determination to support CNS tissue distribution study.

Cyanoenone triterpenoids penetrate the CNS, exhibiting biological activity via the nuclear factor E2-related factor (Nrf2) pathway. This is the first report on methods for the quantification of cyanonenone triterpenoids' distribution in various CNS tissues by LC-MS/MS. The analyte was extracted from brain tissue homogenate using protein precipitation and supported liquid extraction.

An automated framework for evaluation of deep learning models for splice site predictions.

A novel framework for the automated evaluation of various deep learning-based splice site detectors is presented. The framework eliminates time-consuming development and experimenting activities for different codebases, architectures, and configurations to obtain the best models for a given RNA splice site dataset. RNA splicing is a cellular process in which pre-mRNAs are processed into mature mRNAs and used to produce multiple mRNA transcripts from a single gene sequence.
