Introduction: Tooth extraction initiates a cascade of homeostatic and structural modifications within the periodontal tissues, culminating in alveolar ridge resorption. To prevent ridge resorption following extraction and facilitate successful placement of an implant-supported prosthesis, alveolar ridge preservation was performed.

Methods: In this study, the biocompatibility of a nanocomposite consisting of self-assembling peptide nanofibers (organic phase) and tri-calcium phosphate-nano hydroxyapatite (mineral phase), was evaluated in rabbits.

The main objective of the present study is to investigate the potency of new synthesized hydroxycarbamoyl phosphinic acid derivatives in modulating cytotoxic fibrillogenesis of hen egg white lysozyme (HEWL), as a common model in protein aggregation studies. Hydroxycarbamoyl phosphinic acid derivatives were prepared by the reaction of α-hydroxyalkylphosphinic acids with isocyanates (or isothiocyanates) in the presence of trimethylsilyl chloride (TMSCl). The designed process involves the condensation reaction leading to formation of new C sp-P bond formation.

Lateral cephalometric radiographs are crucial in dentistry and orthodontics for diagnosis and treatment planning. However, their use in forensic identification, especially with burned bodies or in mass disasters, is challenging. AM (antemortem) and PM (postmortem) radiographs can be compared for identification.

Background: The present systematic review intended to evaluate the current evidence on the modalities used for treating iatrogenic late paresthesia in the oral tissues innervated by the mandibular branch of the trigeminal nerve.

Main Text: As a common side effect of dental procedures, paresthesia can exert a profound adverse effect on patients' quality of life. The inferior alveolar nerve (IAN) and lingual nerve (LN) have the highest chance of injury during several dental procedures, including mandibular orthognathic surgeries, implant placement, extraction of the third molar, anesthetic injections, flap elevation, and endodontic treatments.

Background: Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is a significant health issue worldwide, and the expression of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are altered in these malignancies. The present study evaluated the expression level of ATXN1 CDC42EP1 genes and the lncRNAs related to these genes (lnc-ATXN1L, lnc-ATXN1, lnc-ATXN10, and lnc-CDC42EP1) in paraffin blocks of oral and pharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) samples from patients referred to Amir Alam Hospital in Tehran, Iran.

Methods And Results: This cross-sectional study was conducted on 76 paraffin blocks of oral and pharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) samples from patients referred to Amir Alam Hospital in Tehran.
