Gender Identity Orientation and Sexual Activity-A Survey among Transgender and Gender-Diverse (TGD) Individuals in Norway.

Background: The understanding and conceptualizing of gender and sexuality are continuously negotiated between individuals and cultures. Recently, new gender identity orientations have emerged, fighting pathologization and establishing new spaces and options for being sexually active gendered beings.

Objective: To investigate variations in sexual activities across different gender identity orientations.

Treatment of Traumatised Sexuality.

Based on therapeutic meetings with individuals who have experienced sexual violence and abuse, the challenge is how do we help these couples to establish sexual relationships on their own terms, without interference of defence or coping strategies they have used to protect themselves against the overwhelming experiences of violence or abuse in the past? This article will focus on therapeutic work with such couples and how to interact with them and support their efforts to establish satisfying sexual relationships, based on sexological experience as well as experience from work with traumatisation. The basis for our treatment is a modified version of William Masters and Virginia Johnson's approach. The technique of sensate focus is central, modified by trauma theory, including the understanding of dissociation, and the need to integrate memories from different levels: somatic, emotional, and cognitive.

Air embolism following bronchoscopy with fine needle aspiration: An unexpected complication.

Flexible fibreoptic bronchoscopy with fine needle aspiration is a common procedure, useful in the diagnosis and assessment of lung disease. There are known complications associated with such a procedure that are well documented in the literature. However, there are only four cases of air embolus following fine needle aspiration during bronchoscopy described in the literature.

A chest tube translocating the posterior mediastinum: A strange case of malpositioning without complication or injury.

Malpositioning of a chest tube is a recognised complication of chest tube insertion. However, cases involving the mediastinum comprise only a fraction of such occurrences, while the complete translocation of the tube through the medisastinum is only noted in three published cases. This case report describes a case of complete translocation of the mediastinum during chest tube insertion to resolve a pneumothorax.

Exploring the relationship between demographic and disease-related variables and perceived effect of health status on sexual activity in patients with axial spondyloarthritis: associations found only with non-disease variables.

Objective: To explore the relationship between demographic and disease-related variables and the perceived effect of health status on sexual activity in patients with axial spondyloarthritis (ax-SpA).

Method: The study assessed 379 ax-SpA patients consecutively recruited from two rheumatology outpatient clinics. Data collection included information on demographics, markers and measures of ax-SpA disease, treatment, comorbidity, and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) using the Short Form-36.
