Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) is a biomarker for the presence of gonadal tissue. Changes in serum AMH after gonadectomy are not well established, and its serum half-life is unknown in dogs. We measured serum AMH with a validated electro-chemiluminescent immunoassay in adult female (n = 12) and male (n = 7) dogs with normal gonads, as well as in dogs with gonadal pathology (ovarian remnant syndrome, ORS n = 3, testicular tumor [Leydig cell, Sertoli cell, seminoma] n = 3, unilateral abdominal cryptorchid n = 4) on the day of gonadectomy (D0), and on D3, D7, D14 (females and males), and D21, D28 (males only).

In the broiler industry, the average daily gain and feed conversion ratio are extremely favorable, but the birds are beginning to approach the maximum of their genetic capacity. However, as a consequence of strong genetic selection, the occurrence of certain metabolic diseases, such as myopathies, ascites, sudden cardiac death and tibial dyschondroplasia, is increasing. These metabolic diseases can greatly affect the health status and welfare of birds, as well as the quality of meat.

Rapidly evolving clinical data suggest that the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) and vaccination against COVID-19 might be associated with thyroid disturbances. However, studies remain limited among the pediatric population. Our aim was to assess the prevalence and permanence of thyroid autoimmunity (TA) and dysfunction in children after an acute infection and its potential association with vaccination.

Introduction: We previously reported that systemic delivery of dystrophin expressing chimeric (DEC) cells of normal () and dystrophin-deficient () myoblast (MB) or mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) origin restored dystrophin expression and improved cardiac function in the mouse model of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).

Aim: This study evaluated the effect of intraosseous delivery of murine DEC lines of MB (MB /MB ) and MSC (MB /MSC ) origin on function of gastrocnemius muscle (GM).

Material And Methods: DEC lines created by fusion were tested in the mouse model of DMD: Group 1 - vehicle (control), Group 2 - non-fused 0.

Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) is increasingly employed in the screening, follow-up, and monitoring of the continuously evolving tumor; however, most ctDNA assays validated for clinical use cannot maintain the right balance between sensitivity, coverage, sample requirements, time, and cost. Here, we report our BC-monitor, a simple, well-balanced ctDNA diagnostic approach using a gene panel significant in breast cancer and an optimized multiplex PCR-based NGS protocol capable of identifying allele variant frequencies below 1% in cell-free plasma DNA. We monitored a cohort of 45 breast cancer patients prospectively enrolled into our study receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy or endocrine therapy or palliative therapy for metastatic diseases.
