Introduction: Patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) are at risk of strokes and neurocognitive disorders.

The Aim Of The Study: The aim of the study was to assess the clinical utility of susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI) MRI in detection of new brain lesions in patients after CABG. We assessed the incidence and types of brain lesions and correlated the data with neurological examinations in groups of patients who underwent on-pump and off-pump CABG.

The authors report the preliminary results of determinations of motor activity of cats receiving 5'5-diphenylhydantoin. The determinations were carried out by means of a special device recording all movements of the animals to ensure objective evaluation. Healthy cats were used for these experiments.

Inquiry investigations were carried out covering 657 individuals from two counties: Plock and Nowy Targ. The inquiry contained 21 questions concerning the knowledge of epilepsy and the attitudes of those questioned to epileptics. The responses were correlated with the sex, age, educational level and occupation of the questioned.
