Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is known to be the most important environmental carcinogen for cutaneous melanoma. While genomic analyses of melanoma tumors implicate a high rate of UV damage, the experimental induction and recovery of bona fide UV-signature changes have not been directly observed. To replicate recurrent UV mutations from TCGA_SKCM specimens, we UV-irradiated cultured immortalized human melanocytes and subjected them to in vivo tumorigenesis assays.

In studies of the cytotoxic and antitumor activity of T1114, it has been found that the combination in one molecular structure of NOS-inhibitory fragment (1-cyclohexanoyl-2-ethylisothiourea) and a fragment inhibiting monocarboxylate lactate transporters (MCT) (α-cyano-4-hydroxycinnamic acid) does not modify the cytotoxic activity of bifunctional NOS/MCT-inhibitor T1114 in vitro. But in vivo inhibition of NOS and MCT is able to realize effects on the tumor microenvironment and hypoxic tumor cells.

The objective of this study was to develop a model that predicts the risk of COVID-associated mortality using clinical and laboratory data collected within 72 h of hospital admission.
Materials And Methods: A total of 3024 subjects with PCR-confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to Almazov National Research Medical Center between May 2020 and August 2021.
Introduction: To identify predictors of excessive daytime sleepiness we analyzed data from the 'Epidemiology of cardiovascular diseases in regions of Russia (ESSE-RF)' study.
Methods: Data from participants of the cohort study ESSE-RF (2012-2013), aged 25-64 years, from 13 regions of Russia were analyzed (2012-2013). The participants were interviewed regarding their sleep complaints, including difficulties with initiating and maintaining sleep, sleepiness, and use of sleeping pills.
