Background: The nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses are one of the most frequently anatomically varied regions. Their size and shape vary from person to person, and ethnic origin may have a role in this variety. Recognizing this variations is so important for ear nose throat (ENT) specialists because they predispose to sinonasal pathologies and affect the complication rate and success of endoscopic sinus surgery.

Background: Immune thrombocytopenic purpura, a recurrent autoimmune disease, is characterized by thrombocytopenia, purpura and hemorrhagic episodes with the main factor in the pathogenesis of this disease being autoantibodies against platelets. Since the 1950s, first-line treatment has been glucocorticoids that have indirect and direct effects on thrombocytopenia. Although the characteristics associated with the chronicization of immune thrombocytopenic purpura at the time of diagnosis have been investigated in previous studies, no study was found in the literature investigating the relationship between the response to first-line steroid treatment and the course of the disease, the aim of this study.

Objective: It is known that the COVID-19 disease, which has affected the whole world, causes symptoms, such as cough, fever, shortness of breath, muscle pain, fatigue, diarrhea, headache and sore throat, in addition to various clinical findings, such as loss of smell and taste. In this study, we aimed to reveal the loss of sense of taste and smell in COVID-19 patients and to investigate whether these sensory losses are permanent in the healing process of the disease.
Method: This prospective study included 94 COVID-19 patients.
Hydatid cyst disease is very rare in pregnancy having an incidence of 1 in 20,000 pregnancies and there is no recommended standard treatment. Both surgical and medical modalities have been tried. Modalities that do not use ionizing radiation such as ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging should be preferred for diagnosis and evaluating acute conditions in a pregnant patient.
