We report the evolution of the superconducting properties of a commercial coated conductor during deoxygenation and reoxygenation processes. By analyzing the changes on the critical temperature, T, and critical current density, J, at 4 and 77 K, we have identified the conditions that cause a complete deoxygenation of the coated conductor and, also, the reoxygenation conditions that allow a recovery of the superconducting properties. A complete suppression of superconductivity happens at ~ 500-550 °C under a pure argon flow.

The use of graph theory models is widespread in biological pathway analyses as it is often desired to evaluate the position of genes and proteins in their interaction networks of the biological systems. In this article, we argue that the common standard graph centrality measures do not sufficiently capture the informative topological organizations of the pathways, and thus, limit the biological inference. While key pathway elements may appear both upstream and downstream in pathways, standard directed graph centralities attribute significant topological importance to the upstream elements and evaluate the downstream elements as having no importance.

Unlabelled: Whether in-hospital management of patients with newly identified vertebral fractures leads to a higher rate of osteoporosis medication than delayed outpatient management remains unknown. Our study showed that early osteoporosis therapy initiation in a fracture liaison service during hospital stay was a more efficacious strategy for secondary fracture prevention.

Results for ab initio no-core shell model calculations in a symmetry-adapted SU(3)-based coupling scheme demonstrate that collective modes in light nuclei emerge from first principles. The low-lying states of 6Li, 8Be, and 6He are shown to exhibit orderly patterns that favor spatial configurations with strong quadrupole deformation and complementary low intrinsic spin values, a picture that is consistent with the nuclear symplectic model. The results also suggest a pragmatic path forward to accommodate deformation-driven collective features in ab initio analyses when they dominate the nuclear landscape.

Glycogen synthase kinase-3 (GSK3) has been implicated in major neurological disorders, but its role in normal neuronal function is largely unknown. Here we show that GSK3beta mediates an interaction between two major forms of synaptic plasticity in the brain, N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor-dependent long-term potentiation (LTP) and NMDA receptor-dependent long-term depression (LTD). In rat hippocampal slices, GSK3beta inhibitors block the induction of LTD.
