Self-Care Behavior Based on Knowledge of Patients with Hypertension: A Cross-Sectional Study.

Background: Adequate self-care behavior is an important factor in controlling hypertension to reduce the number of complications. A patient's knowledge about hypertension can influence their self-care behavior in practice.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify self-care behaviors among hypertension patients based on their knowledge.

Knowledge, attitude and practice of family caregivers on pressure injury prevention for community-dwelling older adults: a cross-sectional study in an Indonesia City.

Background: Older adults in Indonesia are mostly living at home with their families. Informal care provided by family caregivers is essential to prevent older adults from getting pressure injuries (PIs). The objectives of this study were to examine the knowledge, attitude and practice of family caregivers regarding PI prevention among community-dwelling older adults in Indonesia.

Management of Orbital Granulomatous Polyangiitis Presenting with Lacrimal Gland Involvement: Treatment of Subsequent Peripheral Ulcerative Keratitis, Anterior Uveitis, and Exudative Retinal Detachment in a Challenging Case.

This case report discusses a case of granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) initially presenting with lacrimal gland involvement and subsequently developing additional features. GPA is a disease known for inflammation in the respiratory tract and kidneys. A 63-year-old male patient presented with a mass, swelling, and ptosis in the right upper eyelid.

Therapeutic effects of resveratrol and β-carotene on L-arginine-induced acute pancreatitis through oxidative stress and inflammatory pathways in rats.

Acute pancreatitis (AP) is a severe inflammatory condition affecting the pancreas, often leading to systemic inflammation and organ dysfunction. This study evaluated the effects of resveratrol (RES) and β-carotene (βC) on L-arginine-induced AP in rats. Forty-eight male Sprague Dawley rats were divided into six groups: Control (C), RES (20 mg/kg), βC (50 mg/kg), AP, AP + RES, and AP + βC.

Incompatibility of Lacrimal Syringing Test with Dacryoscintigraphy in Patients Undergoing Successful Dacryocystorhinostomy Surgery.

 The aim of our study was to evaluate the compatibility of lacrimal syringe test with dacryoscintigraphy (DSG) in the postoperative evaluation of external dacryocystorhinostomy (Ext-DCR) surgery.  Thirty eyes of 30 patients suffering from unilateral epiphora with discharge and showing complete obstruction on lacrimal irrigation test were included in the study. Patients with dysfunctional lacrimal pump function, revision surgery, partial obstruction, and ocular surface diseases were not included in the study.
