Crystal structure determination, Hirshfeld surface analysis and energy frameworks of 6-phenyl-sulfonyl-6-thieno[3,2-]carbazole.

In the title compound, CHNOS, the carbazole ring system forms a dihedral angle of 89.08 (1)° with the sulfonyl-substituted phenyl ring. Intra-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the sulfone O atoms and the carbazole moiety result in two (6) rings.

Synthetic Utility of Arylmethylsulfones: Annulative π-Extension of Aromatics and Hetero-aromatics Involving Pd(0)-Catalyzed Heck Coupling Reactions.

A straightforward and general method for the synthesis of annulated thiophene, dibenzothiophene, and carbazoles analogues has been achieved involving alkylation of 2-bromo-1-(phenylsulfonylmethyl)arene/heteroarene with arylmethyl bromides/heteroarylmethyl bromides using t-BuOK as a base in DMF, followed by Pd(0)-mediated intramolecular Heck coupling in the presence of KCO in DMF at 80-140 °C. The attractive feature of this protocol is that a wide variety of π-conjugated heterocycles could be readily accessed by an appropriate choice of arylmethylsulfones and benzylic bromides.

Impact of chronic disease assistance program on the retail pharmacy sector: A retrospective study.

Objective: To assess the impacts of chronic disease assistance program (CDAP) on economic parameters, human resource and pharmacy structure and pharmaceutical care on the retail industry in Trinidad and Tobago.

Materials And Methods: A partially perceptual retrospective investigation was carried out in 60 pharmacies from all regions (North East, North West, Central and South) in Trinidad. Questionnaires were distributed to all pharmacists of the each pharmacies indicated above.
