Exploring drug utilization patterns, healthcare resource utilization, and epidemiology of rheumatoid arthritis in Colombia: a retrospective claims database study.

Background: In Colombia, there is a lack of recent real- word studies that provide information on the epidemiology and healthcare resource utilization (HCRU) of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) at national level.

Methods: To describe the burden of RA in Colombia, focusing on trends in drug utilization patterns, healthcare resource utilization (HCRU), and the epidemiology of adult patients diagnosed with RA between January 2017 and December 2022. This retrospective descriptive study used real-world data obtainedfrom a national claim database, SISPRO (Sistema de Información para la Protección Social).

Overnight Monitoring Criteria for Children with Obstructive Sleep-Disordered Breathing After Tonsillectomy: Revisited.

Objectives: Previous studies indicate children who pass an Asleep Room Air Challenge (AsRAC) do not have significant postoperative adverse respiratory events after adenotonsillectomy (T&A). Subsequently, we revised our overnight monitoring (OM) criteria, allowing patients with an obstructive apnea/hypopnea index (OAHI) ≤20 or nonsevere obesity (Class I) to be considered for same-day surgery (SDS) if they passed an AsRAC. Our hypothesis is that our modified OM criteria would not increase the return visits or readmission rates for patients undergoing SDS within 48 h or 15 days of T&A.

Prospective evaluation of nasal septal perforation repair with absorbable plate and temporalis fascia in early adolescent patients.

Objectives: In the pediatric population, nasal septal perforations (NSP) are rare, and management is not well described. The use of various techniques has been reported in adults, including the use of interposition grafts, however this technique has not been described in the pediatric population. Our hypothesis is that the closure rate using absorbable d-lactide and l-lactide (each 50 %), polymer (PDLLA) plates as interposition grafts with temporalis fascia for NSP repair in the pediatric population will be an effective method compared to previous techniques.

Quantitative label-free proteomic analysis of mouse ovarian antral follicles following oral exposure to a human-relevant mixture of three phthalates.

Dibutyl phthalate (DBP), di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP), and benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP) are used in personal and medical care products. In the ovary, antral follicles are essential for steroidogenesis and ovulation. DBP, BBP, and DEHP are known to inhibit mouse antral follicle growth and ovulation in vitro, and associate with decreased antral follicle counts in women.

Pan American League of Associations for Rheumatology Recommendations for the Treatment of Psoriatic Arthritis.

Objective: Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is chronic disease that compromises multiple domains and might be associated with progressive joint damage, increased mortality, functional limitation, and considerably impaired quality of life. Our objective was to generate evidence-based recommendations on the management of PsA in Pan American League of Associations for Rheumatology (PANLAR) countries.

Methods: We used the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE)-ADOLOPMENT approach to adapt the 2019 recommendations of the European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology.
