Eyelid dermatitis in patch-tested adult patients: a systematic review with a meta-analysis.

Eyelid dermatitis (ED) affects a cosmetically significant area and leads to patients' distress. Despite ongoing and recent research efforts, ED remains a multidisciplinary problem that needs further characterization. We aimed to evaluate the atopic eyelid dermatitis (AED) frequency in ED patients and to perform their clinical profiling.

[Lichen planus, COVID-19 and depression: psychosomatic correlations].

The authors present a clinical case of a female patient with depression who developed lichen planus during the COVID-19 pandemic and describe the anamnesis, skin and mental status of the patient. The phenomenon of amplified itching in the clinical picture in the post-covid period in the framework of depressive cataesthetic hyperesthesia is considered. A comprehensive psychosomatic assessment of the condition and the inclusion of approaches of psychocorrection in basic dermatotropic therapy contributed to the normalization of mood, rapid and complete reduction of itching, improvement of the skin status and patient's quality of life.

Localized scleroderma: actual insights and new biomarkers.

Localized scleroderma (LS, morphea, limited scleroderma, focal scleroderma) is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by a progressive damage to the connective tissue with a predominance of fibrosclerotic disorders in the skin and the subcutaneous tissue. In addition surrounding structures may be affected: fascia, muscle, and bone tissues. This review reflects the current understanding about limited scleroderma, its pathogenesis, diagnosis, new biomarkers, and information about the possibilities of its transition to systemic scleroderma.
