The left three-atrial heart (LTH) is a rare congenital abnormality where the left auricle (LA) is divided into two chambers with an additional membrane. This article describes for the first time a clinical case of congenital heart defect with four atrial chambers. A 41-old man was hospitalized for newly diagnosed paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFTen years after the Chernobyl accident a physiological condition of cows was examined on radioactivy contaminated territory of the Novozibkov district of the Bryansk region. The long grazing of cattle on radioactivly contaminated territory revealed the increase in permeability of plasmatic membrane of the red blood cells to Ca2+ and the activation of process of lipid peroxidation. The sensitivity of the red blood cells of cows to incubations in hypertonic conditions was demonstrated.

The analysis of principal clinical symptoms was carried out, diagnostic value of various methods of examination in TP was shown. It was established, that in majority of cases conservative therapy with application of antituberculous preparations contributed to improvement of patients' condition.
