Soft Sensory-Motor System Based on Ionic Solution for Robotic Applications.

Soft robots claim the architecture of actuators, sensors, and computation demands with their soft bodies by obtaining fast responses and adapting to the environment. Sensory-motor coordination is one of the main design principles utilized for soft robots because it allows the capability to sense and actuate mutually in the environment, thereby achieving rapid response performance. This work intends to study the response for a system that presents coupled actuation and sensing functions simultaneously and is integrated in an arbitrary elastic structure with ionic conduction elements, called as soft sensory-motor system based on ionic solution (SSMS-IS).

Evaluation of User-Prosthesis-Interfaces for sEMG-Based Multifunctional Prosthetic Hands.

The complexity of the user interfaces and the operating modes present in numerous assistive devices, such as intelligent prostheses, influence patients to shed them from their daily living activities. A methodology to evaluate how diverse aspects impact the workload evoked when using an upper-limb bionic prosthesis for unilateral transradial amputees is proposed and thus able to determine how user-friendly an interface is. The evaluation process consists of adapting the same 3D-printed terminal device to the different user-prosthesis-interface schemes to facilitate running the tests and avoid any possible bias.

[Clinical heterogeneity of poikilodermatous mycosis fungoides: A retrospective study of 12 cases].

Introduction: Poikilodermatous mycosis fungoides is a rare and indolent clinical variant of mycosis fungoides (MF). It can be difficult to distinguish from poikilodermatous parapsoriasis, a group of chronical dermatoses that may sometimes progress to MF. We aimed to specify the clinical, histopathological and developmental features of these entities by means of a retrospective study of 12 cases followed in our center.

[Tattoo hypersensitivity reaction in a patient receiving combined BRAF and MEK inhibitors].

Introduction: For inflammation of a tattoo occurring decades after its creation, sarcoidosis should be considered first of all. Two case of extremely delayed hypersensitivity tattoo reaction have been recently reported in patients treated with BRAF and MEK inhibitors. We report a similar new case strongly suggesting a specific effect of this drug combination.

[Cervical pregnancy. Contribution of ultrasonography to diagnosis and therapeutic management].

Three recent cases of cervical pregnancy form the basis of a review of its principal clinical and ultrasonographic characteristics and their resultant management consequences. Ultrasonography enables better diagnosis and management, leading to the preservation of subsequent fertility.
