Background: Cognitive flexibility (CF) is defined as the ability to switch efficiently between different concepts or tasks. Empirical evidence of CF in individuals with bulimia nervosa (BN), offers conflicting conclusions, attributed to how CF is conceptualized and operationalized. Neurodegeneration with brain iron accumulation (NBIA) is a genetic disorder characterized by iron accumulation in the basal ganglia. Patients may develop behavioral abnormalities, dementia, movement disorders, and neuropsychiatric symptoms such as emotional lability, depression, anxiety, hallucinations, impulsivity, obsessions, and hyperactivity. In this case, a 46-year-old male patient with a C19orf12 mutation experienced depressive complaints before movement disorders, followed by cognitive deficits and psychotic symptoms as the disease progressed.

Objectives: This study aims to compare the elastographic properties of the ovaries of patients with poor ovarian response (POR) with healthy controls by using real-time ultrasound tissue elastography and to investigate the predictive value of ovarian strain ratio (OSR) in the diagnosis of POR.

Many bacteria possess proteasomes and a tagging system that is functionally analogous to the ubiquitin system. In this system, Pup, the tagging protein, marks protein targets for proteasomal degradation. Despite the analogy to the ubiquitin system, where the ubiquitin tag is recycled, it remained unclear whether Pup is similarly recycled, given how the bacterial proteasome does not include a depupylase.
