Glycans associated with biopharmaceutical drugs play crucial roles in drug safety and efficacy, and therefore, their reliable detection and quantification is essential. Our study introduces a multi-level quantification approach for glycosylation analysis in monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), focusing on minor abundant glycovariants. Mass spectrometric data is evaluated mainly employing open-source software tools.

Background: At least half of children and adults with Down syndrome have a major mental health concern during their life but few studies ask people with Down syndrome directly about their experience. We used a co-research model to explore anxiety, stress, and coping in adults with Down syndrome.
Methods: Our group of researchers and adults with Down syndrome conducted an online survey on mental health for adults with Down syndrome.
Mammals typically heal with fibrotic scars, and treatments to regenerate human skin and hair without a scar remain elusive. We discovered that mice lacking C-X-C motif chemokine receptor 2 (CXCR2 knockout [KO]) displayed robust and complete tissue regeneration across three different injury models: skin, hair follicle, and cartilage. Remarkably, wild-type mice receiving plasma from CXCR2 KO mice through parabiosis or injections healed wounds scarlessly.

Bacteriophage (phage) therapy has received renewed attention as an alternative therapeutic option against recalcitrant bacterial infections, both as multi-phage cocktails and in combination with antibiotics as synergistic pairings. Environmental screening and phage enrichment has yielded three lytic viruses capable of infecting the MDR strain PAO1.
