Background: Trans-Atlantic collaboration between nursing and pharmacy programs for interprofessional education (IPE) is uncommon. A literature search revealed limited sources for comparison, leading to the creation of a stakeholder committee from four colleges: Augusta University College of Nursing and University of Georgia College of Pharmacy, representing the United States of America, and Robert Gordon University Schools of Nursing and Midwifery and Pharmacy and Life Sciences, representing Scotland. A proposal outlining an international IPE experience designed to prepare future healthcare professionals to collaboratively address the challenges facing rural and underserved populations by supporting improvements in access to care for both countries.

Purpose: Niraparib is a poly(adenosine diphosphate [ADP]-ribose) polymerase inhibitor approved for the maintenance treatment of advanced ovarian cancer (OC). Niraparib was originally approved in recurrent OC at a fixed starting dose (FSD) of 300 mg once daily (QD). This analysis characterized the population pharmacokinetics (PK) of niraparib and evaluated the relationships between exposure, efficacy, and safety to support clinical use of an individualized dosing strategy, in which the starting dose of niraparib was adjusted based on patient characteristics to improve the benefit-risk profile.

Fractures of the metacarpal particularly the 5th metacarpal is quite common among all hand fractures and has a high incidence in male adult population. Proper management of these fractures plays a key role in rehabilitation and early return to work thus reducing the economic burden. Treatment of these injuries depends on the type of injury: whether it is a closed/open fracture, degree of angulation at the fracture site and also mal-rotation and shortening of the finger.

Background: Nurses are vital partners in the development of pediatric neurocritical care (PNCC) programs. Nursing expertise is acknowledged to be an integral component of high-quality specialty patient care in the field, but little guidance exists regarding educational requirements to build that expertise. We sought to obtain expert consensus from nursing professionals and physicians on curricular priorities for specialized PNCC nursing education in pediatric centers across the United States.
