Background: Equine dental diseases significantly impact a horse's overall health, performance and quality of life. They can result in secondary infections and digestive disturbances, potentially leading to colic. A recently described disease affecting the incisors of horses is equine odontoclastic tooth resorption and hypercementosis (EOTRH).

Visual illusions in young people reporting psychotic-like experiences.

Background And Objectives: A disruption in the co-ordination of bottom-up and top-down processing is thought to underlie anomalous perceptual experiences in psychosis. Visual illusions represent a valuable methodology in exploring this disruption. Here, we examined visual illusions in a group of young people having psychotic-like experiences.

Co-Production at the Strategic Level: Co-Designing an Integrated Care System with Lay Partners in North West London, England.

In North West London, health and social care leaders decided to design a system of integrated care with the aim of improving the quality of care and supporting people to maintain independence and participation in their community. Patients and carers, known as 'lay partners,' were to be equal partners in co-production of the system. Lay partners were recruited by sending a role profile to health, social care and voluntary organisations and requesting nominations.

An Overview of the Surgical Correction of Dentofacial Deformity.

The correction of severe dentofacial discrepancies involving a combination of orthodontic and surgical therapies (termed ‘orthognathic treatment’) is commonplace. There is an abundance of evidence within this field but it is often inconsistent. This article is an evidence-based overview of such treatments and is aimed at the general dental practitioner.

Sequential Simulation (SqS): an innovative approach to educating GP receptionists about integrated care via a patient journey--a mixed methods approach.

Background: An evaluation of an effective and engaging intervention for educating general practice (GP) receptionists about integrated care and the importance of their role within the whole system was conducted.

Methods: Workshops took place in North West London, one of England's 14 'Integrated Care Pioneers.' Three training days featuring Sequential Simulations (SqS) were held.
