Chemical pneumonitis after the intravenous injection of hydrocarbon.

A case reported in which a man intravenously injected himself with a hydrocarbon insecticide. The radiographic findings and clinical course were typical for hydrocarbon pneumonia. Symptoms developed almost immediately and radiographic findings cleared within 72 hours.
