[Characteristics of arrhythmia and late ventricular potentials in patients with cardiological syndrome X].

Aim: A comparative study of late ventricular potentials (LVP) in patients with cardiological syndrome X (SX) and stenotic atherosclerosis of coronary arteries (ACA) as well as their relations with arrhythmia, cardiac contractility, lipid metabolism and morphological characteristics of the myocardium.

Material And Methods: The examination of 52 SX and 77 ACA patients as well as 17 healthy subjects included coronaroventriculography, bicycle exercise, 24-h ECG monitoring, echocardiography, signal-averaged high-resolution (SAHR) ECG, investigation of blood lipoproteins. Endomyocardial biopsy was made in 5 ACA and 5 SX patients.

[The effect of carbon dioxide baths and applications of low-temperature peloids on the immune function of patients with psoriatic arthritis].

A trial of dry air effervescent baths and low-temperature peloid applications was made in 109 patients with psoriatic arthritis (PA). Marked response was achieved in patients who had received combined therapy with the above two modalities. The effect presented with lower articular index, weaker skin involvement, improvement of blood picture.

[Clinical and prognostic significance of the degree of delayed ventricular function and vegetative regulation of cardiac rhythm in myocardial infarction patients].

Ventricular tachyarrhythmias (VT) are responsible for many sudden deaths in postmyocardial infarction (PMI) patients. The aim of the study was to investigate clinical and prognostic significance for such patients of delayed ventricular activity and vegetative regulation of cardiac rhythm. Signal-averaged ECG, mathematical analysis of cardiac rhythm with measurement of variation range, mode, index of regulatory systems tension, 24-h ECG monitoring were made in 90 patients with acute large-focal myocardial infarction (MI) on the disease day 1, 15, 40 and 365.
