[Interstitial lung diseases in the practical work of pulmonological and rheumatological departments of a multifield hospital].

The aim of this work was to study the incidence, diagnostics and clinical features of interstitial lung diseases (ILD) in the practical work of pulmonological and rheumatological departments of a multifield hospital Theanalysis included 565 case histories of the patients admitted to these departments in 2008-2012. The structure of ILD was elucidated along with the frequency of major clinical symptoms ofsarcoidosis and rheumatic diseases, the occurrence of clinico-morphological variants of ILD. Difficulties encountered in diagnostics of ILD and systemic scleroderma as well as their causes are discussed Resultsof the 5 year followup of 40 patients are presented.

[Outbreak of enteroviral uveitis in children in Omsk in 1987-1988].

From May, 1987, to July, 1988, 56 cases of acute enterovirus infection complicated by uveitis were reported in Omsk, Western Siberia, USSR. Infants aged from 15 days to 19 months were involved. The infection was nosocomial, the peak of the incidence occurring in January 1988.

[Experience in treating residual urethritis and its complications with low-intensity laser radiation].

The authors analyze the results of laser therapy of residual urethritis and complications of urethral inflammations: cystitis, prostatitis, epididymitis, urethral strictures. Laser therapy was found particularly effective in the treatment of residual urethritis and valuable in multiple-modality treatment of urethrogenic epididymitis, cystitis, and prostatitis. The authors discuss the possibility of palliative therapy of cicatricial strictures of the urethra developing after installations and instrumental invasions for urethritis.
